The Ripple Effect of Change

I am so incredibly proud of the Take Action Club members in my town that had a meal making event that made over 18,000 meals on March 29! I am also so honored to be a part of the start of this event, having introduced many members of the club to Rise Against Hunger with my own events. It is amazing the ripple effect that these events have by truly inspiring the community to help combat food insecurity. This event was reported on in the May 3rd, 2019 publication of the Valley Press on page 20 with the title "Simsbury elementary students raise more than $6,000 to combat food insecurity". I am proud to be a part of such an amazing town that does so much to help other people.
